Hike the fairy-chimney valleys for free

The best way to experience Cappadocia's landscape costs nothing. A network of walking trails threads through the valleys: Pigeon Valley between Göreme and Uçhisar, the rose-hued cliffs of Rose Valley, and the romantic rock formations of Love Valley. You can hike them independently with a basic map, weaving past cave dwellings, hidden churches, and surreal rock formations. It's the most rewarding free thing to do in the region.
