In Dubai the shopping malls are attractions in their own right, and air-conditioned havens from the heat. The Dubai Mall, one of the largest in the world, holds an aquarium, an ice rink, and the fountains at its feet, while the Mall of the Emirates famously contains an indoor ski slope.
